Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

again -- the first one?? This sounds like a better description of the 2nd movie than the 1st.
Agreed. I think your thinking of the 2nd movie, which was really just a rehash of the first one. The first one was great, but I'll admit when I first watched them both back-to-back I was like, " Huh? What just happened?" It did feel like they did a 180 on me.

On a side note, I watched The Cave last night. That was...different. Not a scary as I was hoping for but surely worth the $1.50 purchase. Best quote: "They fly! They freakin' fly!" The FYE in my area is going out of business, so I'm going to go raid their horror movie section this weekend. Should be fun. 8)

So you took the tree raping the girl scene seriously? I don't know how anyone could. But yeah, for the rest of the movie it wasn't nearly as bad as the sequel. Truthfully, I only really like Army of Darkness since that was DEFINTELY a spoof.

I actually like Evil Dead 2 more than Army of Darkness. Those scenes with the hand... I can't get enough of 'em.

It's been awhile since I watched the Evil Dead series but I believe the tree rape thing happened in both 1 & 2. I just discovered they remade It's Alive! I added that to my Netflix instant Q! I'm quite interested in what they did with this one, although I read that Jeff Cohen was pissed about it and hated it!

Night of the Demons was great! I loved the first two. Part 3 kind of sucked and the remake was ok. Anyone ever see Demons (I believe it has 2 sequels)? Pretty good flick.

I forgot to mention in my suggestions:
Chopping Mall (campy, good for a laugh)
Maniac
My Bloody Valentine (the original, remake was eh)
Maniac Cop
Basket Case (pt.1, sequels pretty much sucked)
Phantasm (the wholes series was pretty good)
NightBreed
Pumpkinhead
Children of the Corn
April Fool's Day
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

Nope, just in the first one. I watched them pretty recently.

Thanks man! I have to check my copy now for that.

Wow, I don't know why I thought that tree rape scene happened in both movies? Oh well. :?

I really wish they would release that 80s remake of Invaders from Mars. I heard they're remaking The Gate. I loved the original but the sequel kind of fell felt IMO. I'm currently waiing on the following dvds to come in the mail from netflix:
Hideous!
Don't go in the woods alone!
Slaughter High
It's just some of those movies that I never got around to seeing so I'm anxious for those. I like netflix I was able to see some classics like:
House on Soriety Row
Graduation Day
The Prowler
New Year's Evil
The Burning
Mother's Day
Teeth (really amusing! )
Fido
Satan's little helper ( another good one for a laugh and horror)

I can't remember everything at the moment but you get the idea.

I actually didn't care for the 80's Invaders From Mars. I actually sold my VHS copy a while ago. :? I was thinking of weeding out some of our horror collection that we don't watch actually, maybe get some game trades or something. (Literally like over 90% of our movie collection is horror). Anyway, off the top of my head I got a DVD copy of Cheerleader Camp I don't need if anyone wants it.

Yeah that sounds like my collection too. :D I already own Cheerleader Camp & Cheerleader Massacre now that I think about it. The Massacre series is an excellent series as well (Slumber Party Masscre, Sororiety House Massacre, etc). Good stuff. I didn't realize that you can trade stuff on here. I will have to look into that for cleaning out some of my movies and video games.
