Also, first CD going in that car is some straight up Late 70's-80's/90's funk and synthtastica to ride classily down the road:

Guess who finally bought his crazy ass a car!

I've got the title transferred into my name, and the car's currently sitting at the lot marked as sold. I can't wait to have the insurance and registration settled up to get it back home safe and sound.

CONGRATS on the car, looks clean!

I am shocked you found a Honda of that vintage that is stock.

Never sell. I kept my High school car all these years and the initial great feeling still hits ever so often while cruising.

Heh, I plan on driving up to AZ this year if I can afford to go. Hopefully it's interior isn't an eyesore anymore by the time AZ rolls around.

 Yeah, me too!

I hate, Hate, HATE when people destroy a great car like this trying to act like their life is Initial-D or The Fast and Furious but buy all their shit at wal-mart, or rice it up and slap a damn fart cannon on it.

Here are some pics of it and the FUGLY vomit-shade blue interior and awfully re-upholstered vinyl-pleather seats. That's all getting ripped out ASAP when all needed immediate mechanical repairs are finished/checked for and such.

As you can see the original paint still has the clear coat on it as the car was mainly garage kept, but it needs a bit of rust removal in some spots and to be either touched up or completely redone. I'm thinking either dark Graphite Gray or Red.

I was having fun tearing out the previous owner's crappy-ass rear view mirror decorations as well.

Wow, it looks like it was taken care of very well. Pretty good for a 22 year old car.

You'll have to pardon me, but what is a K-20? (car and automotive noob here) I want to keep it mostly stock. I'm not a fan of most body kits (AKA wal-mart specials) or loud exhausts. I do however want the JDM lip for the front bumper and the JDM wing to replace the crappy crescent moon pesudo-spoiler on the back hatch. the JDM courtesy and running/parking lights would be a nice touch too, but that's for later on. I don't want to play the part of street racer though, there's too much maintenance involved with that for me considering I make about $60-$90 a paycheck.

Oh, and I am completely broke. As it stands I have $29.59 in my bank account and 35 cents in my pocket in small change. That's all including my paycheck today as well since my phone bill ate $46 out of the $70 got paid.

Not to mention my list of needed repairs, all of which will need to be done by a mechanic as I have no technical knowledge of cars whatsoever:

Priority #1 (To get fixed or replaced ASAP)
Mechanical:
New seatbelts (Honda warrants all seatbelts for the usable life of a car with free replacements every 5 years as that's when the belts start going bad from stretching)
Timing belt
Oil, power steering, various other fluids (I can probably do 90% of that no problem)
Alternator
Radiator and fan
Rear right wheel bearing needs replacement
Thermostat
Sensor array check
Main fuel pump relay
Ignition igniter control module (recalled by honda, recall is still open)
Replace throttle body o-ring seals
check inlet manifold for leaks caused by said seals mentioned above
Change head gasket
Shocks need to be double checked, and/or replaced
New taillight lens/jewel to replace cracked one
Taillight gaskets
New headlight gaskets
Possibly replace all aging rubber window seals

Priority #2 (AKA later on when everything else is done)
Cosmetic:
Stereo (gotta have something to play this: )
Speaker replacement (sans subwoofer and insanely annoying window rattling shit)
New antenna for radio that isn't idiotically short (I dig the look of sloped antennas)
New gas pistons for the hatch door
Ugly-ass interior needs to be made black
New Carpets and floor liner
Paint (I actually want graphite black with the red accent on the trim like the first pic you posted)
New Seats (preferably from a CRX)
Sunroof of some kind
Power locks and windows with matching panels (pulled from a junker if possible)

Priority #3 (AKA when I can get to it)
Other repairs:
Tires are starting to wear thin
AC needs to be charged (I have a friend who's dad works on AC's so this is gonna be easy)
Windows need to be regreased (manual windows as of right now)
New wipers and wiper fluid
My Consoles:
Genesis - Nomad - SegaCD - GameGear - Sega Saturn - Dreamcast - NES - SNES - N64 - Gamecube - Wii - Playstation - PSone & LCD - PS2 - PS3 - Xbox - 3DS

That is quite laundry list. You'll save A LOT of money doing things yourself. Learn the car thoroughly. Older Hondas are a breeze to work on, especially EF/EE chassis Civics like yours. Of course there are some things that need precision and experienced help, but if you pay someone to do it for you, try to learn as they do it. Some things on your list can be done easily without experience if you follow instructions. I know you're trying to stretch your money as far as it can go, and DIY is the way to do it. Save on parts too by not buying directly from Honda. You can find a lot of refurbished parts online, especially for your car since a lot of people still drive those cars (at least here in California).

A K20 is a Honda engine out of the Acura RSX, JDM Civic Type-R, among others. It is a popular engine to swap into older Civic chassis since they are becoming cheaper. The B-series is still king of swaps. I was just kinda kidding since I know you worked hard to obtain the car and doing high performance engine-swap wouldn't be economically feasible. It's just something that can be done.

Problem in my area is that my area is quite the hotspot for ricers and as a result 90% of these things are destroyed or parted out down to the frame at this point. I swear if I see another idiot burnout of a stoplight only to have his fucking car break down halfway through the intersection I'll beat his brains out.

There's a local junkyard that specializes in Honda stuff about 5 miles from my house that I plan on checking out and hopefully I can get some of the parts I want. As for doing it myself I have literally no idea how and don't want to risk destroying my only transportation. Just about everyone I know simply takes their car in to a mechanic so I have no leads to work on. Since I only moved here about four years ago and my mom drives a pretty decent car that she babies in the garage we never go to the mechanic aside from an oil change, battery or new tires.
