swiftzx, I would suggest playing through story mode. Just join other games in session or set up your own. You shouldn't have any trouble getting random players to join to help you out, coop. Also remember that you can only join games if you are as far in the game. LP2 isn't really a drop in/drop out game like Gears of War.

i actually didn't go to the story right away, which is very strange for me. i went to multiplayer for a few days untill we were able to set up a coop game with everyone else. i would say try both coop and multiplayer...but don't get frusterated, this is not a game that you will be instantly good at and you will soon find out that other people have an edge in the game because they unlocked a certain skill or gun, you will eventually have that edge too.
