Which Street Fighter EX games are worth owning?

Post by JC48573 »

I heard EX 2 plus had no story whatsoever and Hayate only appeared in that game. Seriously, I think I prefer Sakura over him. Does EX3 play any different from the EX2? modes? combos?

I have EX3 and it is actually a lot of fun. The story is minimal, of course. Mostly, the story is limited to tiny blurbs of text at the end of your characters arcade mode. I would say just pick up EX3 and ignore the first two as they do not have anything the third does not.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

In my opinion, just get whichever one you're able to. EX3 is probably your best bet if you just want to go for one of them but you can't go wrong with EX1 or EX2 either. They're all quite fun.

I just want to know if EX3 is that any different from EX2 besides some character swaps.

Better graphics, of course.

3 on 3 gameplay.

There are actually endings for the characters.

Often people will overprice games and start a trend of it when the game isn't that rare. Orrr EX2 might just not be as common. There's a few reasons it could be. EX3 gameplay wise is no different than the others, but it does look and sound alot nicer. :)

My question is simple for you:

What drew you to this series when we have numerous versions that are far superior IMO.

Street Fighter 3, SFII, Alpha, and so on

Woo, good one, I played the first EX, and never loved it. It seems like a betrayal to all Street Fighter series, as try to go into "3"-D!

Still, around that time, didn't Guilty Gear and Bloody Roar came out as well, with "2"-D!

I always thought the EX games were pretty amusing, but I think the characters are what got me interested. I played Rival Schools the other day, so I was hoping to find other games like it with some humor.
