Some great ideas there G4L, I totally agree with you about what Rose said. I wouldn't go with him. Maybe it is just me but Locke doesn't look as friendly as he use to either. His facial expressions are much more sinister.
Also in previous seasons Locke was about helping people find their peace. Such as Charlie and his drugs etc. He isn't like that now, as you said he is now about using that trust for his own good.

So any LOST fans, how do you think the remaining seasons are going to play out?
I'm thinking that, season four will end with the Oceanic 6 making it off the island.
Season five will be primarily about them being off the island - the punishment of Ben and disclosure of what Dharma is really doing, a little of what's happening on the island, and the end of the season being where Jack is suicidal trying to get back to the island (and a cliffhanger where the possibility to go back appears).
Season six would be Jack and whomever getting back to the island and the dissolution of Dharma.
That's what I came up with over lunch talking with friends about LOST~
Whacha think?

I think the show ends with five seasons, not six. I think we'll actually see people get off the island this season. The flash forwards are showing us what happens to everyone post-island, while I think the present day scenes are leading up to them leaving the island. In a way, it's like we're getting two seasons in one. Very interesting approach to the storytelling. We'll get a few major answers along the way. They're suppose to disclose info about the monster this season. Notice the tease when Locke asked Ben about it.D.D.D. wrote:So any LOST fans, how do you think the remaining seasons are going to play out?

What happens next season is anybody's guess
With the writer's strike being possibly over, I've heard that they'll try and get a few more episodes out for this season and they will have some "accelerated story telling" to make up for us not getting a full season. So we may be learning a lot this season.

Yeah, Locke has become such a confusing character to me. He's changed a lot throughout the series. I used to sympathize with him too, but season 3 really changed that.Daniel Primed wrote:Some great ideas there G4L, I totally agree with you about what Rose said. I wouldn't go with him. Another character that bugs me a bit is Kate. I wish she'd stop two-timing Jack and Sawyer. Make a choice already. Personally, I'd like to see more of Jack and Juliette. Sawyer needs someone new. Unfortunately, not too many options on this island. Maybe if he makes it back to the real world and can give up his conman lifestyle. I love the funny relationship him and Hurley have. They're almost like siblings, with Sawyer being the older brother who picks on Hurley, but actually cares about him.
And isn't it interesting to think about how different things would be now if Sayid had killed Ben in season 2. I view Sayid and Danielle as the only two people to ever be a real threat to Ben. Sayid saw through ALL of Ben's lies in season 2. That's when he became one of my favorite characters.

I just finished watching the latest episode. I think that now Locke has realized that Ben was just using him to protect himself from these guys that came from the helicopter. Also its why Locke shot Naomi because of Ben (If I can remember right). Hopefully Locke will realize this.
I'm really not sure what to expect from the series here on out. The flash forwards are just damn confusing and add another dimension to the mystery. Which might just be too much for me. I think that I'll just let it play out.

Lost is a fantastic series and its good to hear other people say it, nearly everyone I know stopped watching it last year for one reason or another, but not me and Lucy we love it.
I think I've gone of both Locke and Jack for many reasons which leaves me in a strange place, not liking either of the main characters

Wow -- you watched the whole series that quickly? That's probably quicker than me (my wife and I had Lost marathons)fastbilly1 wrote:I finished up the series two days ago (to the most recent episode) and I still say the monster is a dinosaur. An invisible mechanical dinosaur maybe, but a dinosaur none the less.
If you're anything like me, you probably had dreams of being on the island and such....
I think Lost may re-gain its place as my favorite current show. I think it is really meant to be watched marathon-style though. Many seasons like the last were too frustrating when nothing really happened and you had to wait another week (or longer for the next one)
Heroes had the potential to overtake Lost, but it blew it.
Locke is still one of my favorite characters even if he did some questionable things. I try not to think too much about if he's right or now, but just sit back and enjoy. I think I just like his personality and his unique thoughts. Somehow, I trust that he has solid reasoning for the things he does.
I have a feeling this season will be good, but I'm curious how this new "rescue" team may be tied into the Dharma project.

Its going to be interesting to see how the Dharma people, Bens people (including the man who, in stark contrast to Walt, hasnt aged in 30 years), the Hostiles, the People on the boat and Penny and her 2 guys playing chess all fit together. I hope that when the show ends they answer all these things rather than leaving it open. That would be an enourmous cop out.
I agree that its best watched back to back, you dont forget all those details that become relevant later on and the side story episodes are less of a drag. I thought series 2 was the worse series for having loads of episodes that didnt advance the plot, just served to build on what we know of the characters.
