Re: Your Personal Least-favourite consoles
I can't stand the Jaguar..for obvious reasons. It's a pile of garbage. And I don't like 360 because of the reliability issues and the fact that there are no exclusives on it that interest me in the slightest. They say that the red ring problem is fixed with the elite, but I still don't trust it. I also don't like the Turbografx-16. I love the games and everything, don't get me wrong, it's just the system itself I have a problem with. No AV? C'mon even the NES had AV. And the American version of it is just damn ugly, especially with the CD-ROM attatched.
Going through deleting inactive accounts of mine as a security precaution. No hard feelings, but admins, if it is possible to delete this account, please do so. Thanks in advance!

No AV on the TG16 was to sell you the TurboBooster IIRC.WrathOskvro wrote:I can't stand the Jaguar..for obvious reasons. It's a pile of garbage. Why? For having an opinion? If so, then there are are lot of people around here hating each other. LOL!YoshiEgg25 wrote:I'm thinking you just made a lot of enemies.Scooter wrote:NES - To this day I still don't quite grasp what all the love for that console is all about.

I mean, it's fair to say "I don't like Zelda" or "I don't like Mario" or "I really don't give a rat's ass about Pictionary", but to say that you can't see why there's no love for it?Scooter wrote:Why? By Nintendo, certainly. By Sega? Certainly not in the US. Even Nintendo acknowledged Atari Corp. with a higher market position than Sega by the end of '88 (when Sega was already moving away from the Master System to the Megadrive/Genesis).Retrozoa wrote: My Least favorite console would probably be the Atari 7800. Atari Jaguar. It has a total of 2 good exclusive games and those are expensive and really not that great in my opinion. The joypad was designed by a certifiable madman. I see no reason to own that console... (I have one since I picked it brand new for $25)
Mostly harmless

Re: Your Personal Least-favourite consoles
Pretty much every atari console ever made. I just have no interest in them.
Re: Your Personal Least-favourite consoles
I simply do not like the XBOX360. I went halfs on one with my brother and pretty much decided to let him have it after awhile. The only game I ever picked up was Lost Odyssey, which I did enjoy but there really aren't any exclusives on the system I care that much about.
I haven't like Halo's multiplayer since the first one, which I much prefer on PC and I never liked Halo's campaigns. All the other FPS games I would much rather play on PC, where I generally don't have to pay to play online. I absolutely refuse to pay monthly fees to play part of any game I've already purchased.
The one we have (original model) has never shone any signs of failure as we keep it well ventilated and don't do things like pick it up with the disc still inside or the console running, so I can't really comment on the whole red-ring thing.
As far as retro consoles go, I'm not really very big on the N64. I've had one for a long time now and the only games I've picked up are Mario Kart and Mario 64 because I was able to get them cheap. I just don't have very much nostalgia for the system. I grew up on 16-bit RPGS/Platformers and the PS1 RPG/Survival Horror library so that's where most of my nostalgia resides.
My brother and sister both had N64s so I was able to play through a lot of the well recieved N64 games like the Zelda games, Smash Bros., Paper Mario, Harvest Moon, DK64, Jet Force Gemini, 007, etc. and I certainly enjoyed them but when I go back to play them now they just don't feel as fun as they did once upon a time, and I quickly move on to something I enjoy more.

Re: Your Personal Least-favourite consoles
I've found something to like on every console I've played. No matter how bad somebody says something is you can always find some great hidden gems with a little digging. It seems like when a console fails the dirt often rises to the surface and gets more attention than the gold.
My least favorite console generation however is the Playstation/N64 era. Not because I hate either system, there are quite a few games I love on both, but because the awkwardness in both look and control of early 3D games sort of alienated me when I was younger and I became more of a PC gamer where the 3D games I did play were usually simulation games like the Wing Commander and Mech Warrior franchises with more advanced controls or FPS games that just worked thanks to the mouse.

I'd have to say 360, N64 or the SNES. (shower me with your hatred)
Older. Not wiser.
