Interesting. Discuss.
Personally I think Anne Hathaway looks too young to pull off a badass catwoman. But this is a christopher nolan movie so I have faith. And Bane? I really really wasn't expecting that. I have a feeling venom will play a role somehow, but don't expect it to be some extreme supersteroid like it is in the comics.
Oh and I still think they're gonna merge Talia al ghul and Catwoman into one character. It would explain her abilities and give her a connection to bruce.
Either way, I think this villain "pairing" is really interesting and I have absolutely NO idea what to expect from this movie now. Other than it being awesome.
Anne Hathaway is catwoman. Tom Hardy is Bane.

Bane was Ras Al Ghul next choice for a male heir after Bruce Wayne turned him down so maybe Talia and Bane come in together...it is a hell of a choice and I trust Nolan after 2 awesome Batman movies. I am a bit skeptical about Hathaway as Catwoman but I was also iffy on Ledger as the Joker and we all know how that turned out. They made the Scarecrow bad ass so I know he has the vision to pull this off.

Anne Hathaway = my dream celeb, so I WILL watch

The problem is that Christian Bale is still Bat Man.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Let's hope that we don't get a white version of this:

I approve of the choice of Tom Hardy, he can pull off characters that look radically different from himself. Case in point: Bronson. Anne Hathaway on the other hand...not really thrilled with that choice. Sure, she'd be hard pressed to be as bad as the Catwoman film, but...well, who knows, she might do it. I'm going to be wary for the time being.

I'm down with Hathaway for Catwoman. She's got a Phiffer vibe to her and besides, she's hot too.
Nolan did awesomely for the first two; anything he's good with, I am too.

I was hoping Nolan would not go down the Catwoman route but I trust him, I think Bane is a great choice and Tom Hardy should do a great job.

I'm cool with Catwoman being in the movie for one reason: Warner Brothers forced Nolan to have a romantic interest. It's the women only like movies with "chick flick" elements.
Since it would be out of character to have Bruce fall in love with yet another woman he shares his secret with, having Batman (not Bruce) fall in love with Catwoman works better with his character and has so for years in the comics.
Plus if you remember at the end of the Dark Knight, Batman purposely paints himself as a "bad guy" to protect the people of Gotham from finding out that their hero Harvey Dent turned into a criminal almost as twisted as the Joker. This only solidifies that a Batman/Catwoman relationship would work in the NolanVerse since Batman will be walking and or crossing that line of morality for most of the movie.

that seems like a good reason NOT to be cool with it.SpaceBooger wrote:I'm cool with Catwoman being in the movie for one reason: Warner Brothers forced Nolan to have a romantic interest.
What the fuck is WB doing dictating Nolan around? He's made them a ton of money with his films so far, why would they feel they need to intrude?
