Also we'll be getting 25 freaking games on launch. Too bad most of them will be crappy Ubisoft/Gameloft titles.

I'm pretty sure they weren't all launch titles. Just titles intended for release between march and july. Which means we got a date, but no price and no launch titles. Bollocks.

Still, nice that we get it before America.

Edit: Software prices seem to be at £30-35 and E39.00. Seems comparable with DS. First price I've seen for 3DS is £229 at HMV, so I can (unfortunately) foresee the E 250 prediction being right.

They are. I'm fine with it as long as they localize all the good stuff from Japan. Otherwise I'm going to have to buy 2 3DS's (plus hardware revisions because I'm a slut).

We will, we Europeans always get the expensive end of the stick. I think they will sell the console at 250€ not at 270€ in mainland Europe.

Region locking sucks. Not just because we are going to pay more but because we WILL miss many good Japanese games. Shumps and Musical Games have no chance of being translated.

Well, it won't really matter because pirates will crack it in two days, creating a way to play imports.

I'm following Nintendo's press conference on the 3DS right now, and right off the bat, there's some good news: DSiWare games will be compatible with the 3DS! I'll keep posting things here as I read them. Any thoughts? Opinions? Hopes?

Have they announced how much an individual game will cost? Probably not the same price of $34.99 as a new DS game is currently.
