Can't get Super Dual Box USB adapter to work...

Post by Flak Beard »

I bought one of these PS2 to USB adapters a few years back...

http://www.mayflash.com/pc/pc013/pc013-1.htm

On my previous computer it worked fine, just plug and play with no drivers needed. Now on my laptop, it comes up as an unrecognized USB device. I even tried installing optional drivers from the website and nothing shows under Game Controllers in Control Panel.

Anyone know why this would be happening? My laptop is XP with SP2 just like my PC was. :(

is the USB port funtcioning properly? Have you tried other USB devices (such as a flash drive, wireless dongle, mouse dongle, etc)?

And with the driver install, did you follow the instructions for it on the link provided? Meaning... did you install the driver with the device unplugged?
Atari 2600 (AV mod), NES, SNES (region switch for PAL), Virtual Boy, Gamecube, Wii (D2CKey), PSX (Stealth V), PS2 (independence exploit w/ 160 GB HDD), Goldstar 3DO, Philips CD-i, Dreamcast, Saturn (racketboy's chip), Sega Genesis 2 + CD2 + 32X + Power Base Converter, Game Gear.

I've used the port for things like a mouse and external HHD, so I assume it's working properly. I'm pretty sure I installed the drivers with the device unplugged, but I will try again just in case.
