I thought I entered the wrong url at first.

Things look pretty good. The ads are kind of garishly in your face, as others have mentioned, and I don't really like the large Facebook/Youtube/RSS feed links taking up so much banner space (though I know this is the popular thing to do now and since I don't 'follow' anything with these technologies, it may just be me).

Mostly I think it is a nice mix of looking slick and retro at the same time though. Looks nice.

If you don't want to see ads, just download AdBlocker Plus. It's an extension for Firefox and Chrome. Makes it so you can block any ad and you'll never see it again. As for the new site design, I like it quite a bit. I Don't know if I like it MORE than the old one but we'll see. Great job!

I'm all for viewing the ads on this site; it contributes to the revenue stream. I'd kick in for a "full membership" annually if it meant not viewing them though.

It looks amazing.

More amazing than the amount of people complaining, even.

I love it. It's actually navigable, or at least encourages you to pay attention. Honestly, it's not like it's much different. The only difference is the text is a little bigger now, honestly. Most everything is in the same position and aspects of the site are more noticeable.

It's pleasing.

New Racketboy site redesign

Post by Retrozoa »

Maybe I'm just viewing the site through a haze of cold medicine, but it looks different. What's everyone's thoughts on it.

Me? It's different but I'm sure I'll grow to like it like I did the original site.
