(reserved for my opinion once I have one)

First thought: Any chance we could all just donate money to keep the site running? Those ads are kinda amazingly large.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Wow! I like it. Looks very professional and just somehow makes the site seem like more than it was before.

I'm hoping to eventually have them disappear for members that are logged in and maybe be replaced by a way to browse by console or something.

I just need to figure out how to pull that off from a technical standpoint...

Maybe by following a cookie?

Those buggers are kinda the one thing I have an issue with. Almost to a fault.

As long as the flash content stays low (menus, etc..) and the site doesn't become bloated and CPU intensive like game trailers or screw attack then I will always have a place here.

Anyhow, so far it's pretty good and there don't seem to be any major sire breaking headaches.
My Consoles:
Genesis - Nomad - SegaCD - GameGear - Sega Saturn - Dreamcast - NES - SNES - N64 - Gamecube - Wii - Playstation - PSone & LCD - PS2 - PS3 - Xbox - 3DS

I don't like those things either -- so you should be safe!

I like the new layout so far. Nice bitmap background. I'm glad you shortened all the articles and linked them to the full version. It makes it a lot easier to browse quickly. And the index page is a lot more welcoming than before.

I'll agree that some of the ads are a little big, but as long as they're off in the side bar it really doesn't bother me.
