Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Newspaper article related scores keep rolling in. A friend of mine at school's parents have an Atari (assuming 2600) that they're giving away, with like 20 games that they were just going to throw out, so they read my article and were like "Oh, give it to this kid" so tomorrow I'm probably going to be getting an Atari 2600 with 20 games for free.
Moral of the story = newspaper articles rock.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Picked up an original Game Boy for $2 at Goodwill. Doesn't turn on every single time, but it seems to be a battery connection issue since turning the system over and moving the batteries around allows it to work. It looks like the culprit is some corrosion on the connectors, so I'll clean that up and see if it works. If not, guess I'll be opening it up to see if the connections are fine. And the D-Pad is a little bit worn. Still, for $2? Not really complaining. Might just order a new D-Pad and Button set from kitsch-bent and stick them in there.
And very loosely related to video games, but I also found this blanket at Goodwill today for $5.

Looks like it was never even used, or at least not used heavily. It'll sit on the couch where I do most of my gaming.
