Valuable Super Famicom Games?

Post by racketboy »

Any Super Famicom experts here that could fill me in on the most valuable SFC titles?

The top two I have heard of so far are Kunio-kun no Dodge Ball Zenin Shuugou Tournament Special Gold Cart ($6,000?) and Fire Emblem Thracia 776 Box Set (around $200?)

Do you know of any others that should be considered?

I'm also trying to find photos of the cartridges and/or boxes for these for illustration purposes.
If you could help me out at all, I would greatly appreciate it!

I'll take a look the next time I head out to my local game shack (and peek inside the glass case of value). :)

"The Glass Case of Value".... sound exciting :)

I should have asked this earlier since I'm planning on publishing this on Sunday night. When do you plan on visiting this "Glass Case of Value"?

It might be a close call but, I should be able to get a pic to you by Sunday morning (it's a 3-day weekend and my gf and I are visiting her folks).

...... Well since this post, it's been snowing heavier and heavier and it's actually the most snow in 10 years they said for the area. I guess the snow storm from Tokyo finally hit us. Unfortunately, I'm not going anywhere anywhere for a while today (possibly tomorrow). Sure feels like a waste of a 3-day wknd... :(

Off the top of my head, there's that special Tengai Makyou Zero cartridge, which name I forget at the moment.

As for regular releases...Final Fight Tough (Final Fight 3) is strangely rare. I've seen it go for nearly $100.

I saw a Tengai Makyo Zero cart in Japan once, bare, for dirt cheap, so unless there's a special one that's different from the ordinary one, sounds like a no-go.

I dug it up - it's "Tengai Makyou Zero - Shounen Jump no Shou". Pretty much the same as the standard issue but I think the title screen is slightly different or something like that. Nothing major, but still exceedingly rare/valuable.
