Cleaning carts

Post by mrgoodbytes »

ok this is one of those posts I know the answer but am asking anyways.

pulled my nes/snes collection out of storage for the first time in years. Now I've always kept a clean collection and use to clean all my carts with isopropyl alcohol and qtips... seems like everything needs a good cleaning again. Is the isopropyl alcohol the best way to go? And is there a good way of actually cleaning the system contacts?

need answer quick before I head home for a all night gaming session.

Isopropyl alcohol and q-tips is the best way to clean the games.

For cleaning the 72 pin connector, you can either disassemble the NES and pull the pin connector out and clean it with the same isopropyl alcohol... or you can insert and wiggle one of the cleaned carts, pull it out, clean it with q tips and alcohol again and just repeat this process until the games come out clean.
