Looking back, I view DBZ as beginner's anime with more appeal for younger viewers BUT I really loved the show at one time. I love a good fight, animated or otherwise and the ones on DBZ were epic! Ridiculous, drawn out and in defiance of all sense and logic but still epic goddamnit!!!

I enjoyed all of it though of course the original, uncut japanese episodes are the best from the few I've seen of them and GT was kind of lame. Vegeta was my favorite character, followed by Trunks and then probably Krillin. Goku is loveable sure, but I never like bland, goody, goody characters. He's the Superman to Vegeta's Batman. I used to love some of the PS2 games in the Budokai series. Eventually though, I got worn out on DBZ after the fifty BILLION things on the internet about it, including lots of really, really lame music videos with really lame nu-metal. Plus, I discovered more serious stuff in anime. Cowboy Bebop is pretty much my fave anime series of all time

I've seen random episodes of the original Dragonball and I can't help but feel that Funimation and Cartoon Network hurt that show more than they did DBZ with all the changes they made

Oh yeah, it was great. Very epic sounding, fits very well with One Piece.

There are a couple of tunes of the OP soundtrack that I like as well:

Overtaken:
Luffy's Fierce Attack:
The Very, Very, Very Strongest:
Franky's theme:

It is beginning to show its age a little, but the Dragon Ball franchise is still easily my favourite anime/manga series.

Favourite series: Still the original DBZ, although I really enjoy what they've done with Kai so far.

Favourite movie: Fusion Reborn. Not the best villain (Janemba was somewhat lackluster, I felt), but I really enjoyed how it portrayed the evolution of Goku and Vegeta's rivalry throughout the storyline. 12 years of conflict and resentment between the two seemed to end with the threat of mass destruction laughing in their faces, resulting in the birth of Gogeta. The side stories of Goten, Trunks, Gohan, and Videl combating dead villains and warriors back home gave the film more of a light-hearted feel to it, as well.

Favourite storyline: Cell/Android saga. Like many, I enjoyed it because of the development of several characters, and it took Goku out of the spotlight for much of the arc in order to give them their due. IMHO, one of the most memorable parts of the series is watching Gohan's epiphany during the battle with Cell and finally becoming an adult in the process (i.e. his initial transformation into SS2).

Favourite Z-fighter: Vegeta. Not much to say, really; I found him to be a very interesting character, and his radical shifts throughout the arcs kept him from growing stale.

Favourite villain: Frieza. 'nuff said.

Which is your favorite Dragon Ball Series? Dragon Ball, Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, or Dragonball Z Kai?

I read the manga. So there is only the one series, although I appreciate what they did with Kai. However all of my answers concern the manga, not anime.

Which is your favorite Dragon Ball Movie?

Movie 1 (Dead Zone)

Which storyline/saga is your favorite?

Piccolo Daimou/Piccolo Jr. This was easily the most dangerous time they had before the whole "BUT HE'S REALLY AN ALIEN! WHAT A TWIST!" they pulled with the Saiyan thing. My favorite fight is the first fight against Vegeta on Earth, however plenty of people were worthless by the Saiyan storylines. Piccolo Daimou was s till a time where even Yajirobe defeated one of the main bad guys (Cymbal)

Which Z-Fighter is your favorite?

Gokuu. Especially when he was a child in fights against Taopaipai and General Blue.

Which villain was your favorite?

Majin Buu was the most utterly insane of the villains. He wiped out most of the living beings in the universe just because he accidentally "won" and blew up the Earth leading to him getting bored and looking for more strong people. Also, I could buy a being made of evil magic regenerating before I can believe Freezer surviving the shit he survived or even CARING about Cell. I grew up and decided I didn't like Cell since Cell is, even more so than Freezer, the villain most responsible for "standing around and talking to fill up 18 minutes of air time is how you kung fu fight) Buu just liked murder. Plus he turned people into candy, that's gangster.

Which is your favorite Dragon Ball Series? Dragon Ball, Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, or Dragonball Z Kai?
Original Dragon Ball. I think I first saw some episodes in 1994 or 1995, in Japanese (English subs). I can recall seeing some of the original, and also Z, on TV a few years later. One of my friends collected all the episodes of the original series and Z. I like Z, but I never really got into it. He is a huge DBZ fan, though. I like the original because it is more light-hearted and has the whole adventure thing going for it.

I never got into GT at all, and this is the first time I've heard of Kai. Considering the title, I'm guessing it's a rehash of the original series?

Which is your favorite Dragon Ball Movie?

I guess the Broly one or History of Trunks. They are the only ones I can recall actually sitting through and remembering.

Which storyline/saga is your favorite?

Frieza as fun. I also liked the Trunks and Android sagas. Piccolo ones were always cool.

Which Z-Fighter is your favorite?

Vegeta, because he is awesome. Most entertaining character in the series.

Which villain was your favorite?

Vegeta, because he is awesome. Most entertaining character in the series.

Mainstream anime only has these openings nowadays, One Piece is no exception, being the most mainstream of the mainstream.

Evangelion's theme is my favorite anime theme ever. It's funny 'cause not long ago I was at an anime convention karaoke thingy and the people there were putting several openings on everyone to watch. I asked them to put on the Evangelion theme and they looked at me as if I were some kind of weirdo. Sit down and watch the 27th ending theme of Naruto!

Saint Seiya's opening theme is so amazing as well. The Brazilian opening is sung by Edu Falaschi, lead singer of Angra:

Funnily, often Angra has to play the song at their concerts over here.

Yeah, it's a rehash of Dragonball Z. It follows the same basic story through each saga. But it edits some stuff out, and completely changes other things. It really is blasphemy for longtime fans. But it's good the series is being reintroduced to a new generation, regardless of how.
