What was the last movie you've seen?
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
Funny you should say that, world cinema makes up a large % of movies that I watch, yet Bollywood is strangely absent. Fine, watch this space

Here's an awesome list of someone's top 250 scifi movies. I find it shocking that I actually watched most of those

I'm assuming those weren't in order. I saw some real stinkers that I rented back in intermediate school.Pulsar_t wrote:http://www.imdb.com/list/m7mZ9yjlmZE/

It was good to see Primer on there though.

I have no idea
Speaking of stinkers, finally watched Skyline. It wasn't that terrible, but Monsters did more with much less.

Europa
Very Interesting film. The use of the projected background acting with the actors in the foreground was interesting to see done.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse. And it's not nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Sure, it's not in same caliber as Night of the Living Dead or 28 Days Later. But it was still a very enjoyable little flick. It certainly wasn't as bad as House of the Dead was.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
Just finished watching Le Chevalier D'Eon (and it's sad but I seriously had to check the box to make sure I spelled that right
). A nice mix of the history and supernatural mystery with many characters based on historical counterparts. The animation was flawless, gorgeous (especially the opening) and consistent. The story moved smoothly and at a nice clip and I was engrossed throughout.
I will say that I usually like watching shows in the native languages with english subtitles, but watching the characters speak Japanese in a French setting just felt a little too...odd? So on this rare occasion I switched to English (Still not quite right, but at least it's on the right continent.) I kind of actually wish they'd dubbed it in French to be more authentic, but I'll take what I can get. That being said, the dub was actually pretty good. The main cast had accurate voices for their characters and for the most part, proper delivery.
All in all it was a nice little series. I might even watch it again next year.

Citizen Kane
Really a big fan of classic cinema, and was one of the few movies I've been meaning to watch and never really did, so yesterday I finally took the time out of my day and decided to watch it. Great movie, I think I'll give it my Official Seal of Approval, which of course mean absolutely nothing.
