Re: Question about Comic Books
The two of the reason the older comics are worth so much is because
A) WW2. The paper shortage.
B) 1950's Senate Committee report blaming comic books for the bad nature and behavior of the youth.
Those two reasons caused many of the comics that were published to be destroyed.
Today we have collectors and hoarders, as well as an economy where more people are willing to spend money on entertainment including comics. Finding a comic that is rare will be a challenge.
So do what you want, like I said before if your a real fan get it signed and it will be worth more to you.

Heh.
Now the question is raised: what will you do? Keep it hidden and away from the elements, or have it surrounded in treated lucite (plastic treated with a layer of UV-blocker to prevent fading) and framed for display?

My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

All of the comics that I have signed are framed and displayed or just displayed in a stand on a shelf.pakopako wrote:Heh.

Re: Question about Comic Books
Everybody here needs to see comic book villains. Don't wikipedia it and ruin it. Spend the ten bucks to buy the movie. If yu are a fan of comics it will become your favorite movie. Trust me.

That may be true, but the point of the movie is so true and alone makes the movie worth watching.elmagicochrisg wrote:Meh, Donal Logue was so unlikable in this movie it annoyed me.Jbroderway wrote:Everybody here needs to see comic book villains. Over the top drama gone bad.
I own a copy and watch it every couple of years or so. I thought of that movie when Josh was talking about getting the free TG16 from an older lady in the "Finds of the Day" thread.
