Best Arcade stick for SNES?
Best Arcade stick for SNES?
As an only child I never really played fighting games a child. Now my girlfriend and I have really gotten into fighting games, and I'd like to start with the SNES classics light SFII, SFII Turbo and Super Street Fighter II. I would like to try to use an arcade stick, something I've never really gotten the feel for at home. So could any suggest some?
Re: Best Arcade stick for SNES?
I haven't used any (and don't know of any) other than this one:

I wasn't happy with the joystick. It wasn't smooth, and hard to execute moves in MKII with it. Also, some of the buttons can stick at times.

I hated this stick. And just as a heads up, I liked the original Advantage. The Super Advantage felt way off.Ziggy587 wrote:I haven't used any (and don't know of any) other than this one:

There's an awesome stick out there called something like the Tournament Stick? Ah shit, the name escapes me. But it's really hard to find, but super high quality.
There's also the Capcom stick, which I've never used but heard great things about. That one's far more common.

I have a SNES Advantage, and I can vouch for its poor build quality. The buttons always stick, and it is hard to make it register diagonal motions.

It seems to me like the buttons are in the wrong place with it.

Well if your feeling frisky you could always build an arcade stick for the snes, there are a lot of resources on the Internet for building them.

I randomly came across the Super Advantage today at a thrift store. Talk about irony. I'll try it out tonight and update, but the buttons look all off.

I posted about it here:

and every one said it's horrible.
