Super NES not playing Super FX games... Please god help.

so I have a super nintendo, original model. I was playing starfox earlier today, then I pause it to go to work. I come home and the game is reset and the intro movie is playing and the picture is warped and the horizontal V is scrolling and it keeps resetting itself. I tried a copy of my roommates starfox and same exact thing. So then I grab DOOM and Yoshis island, both games with the Super FX chip, and they both do it too. Any game without the extra pins works absolutely fine. It was working fine earlier and before today, what could be the problem? Please christ help.

If I had to venture a guess I'd bet you fried something in the system by leaving it on for such a long time. Now it can't read those extra pins correctly.

I know this may sound redundant, but clean the contacts on the system and games.

I would try cleaning before assuming something is fried. Clean the carts AND system, and make sure you clean the extra pins used by the Super FX as well.

Somehow I don't think God is too worried about your SNES. Why not just buy another one? They aren't that expensive.

I had a similar issue. Don't think it involved the Super FX chip specifically, though it definitely involved some sort of extra chip I'm sure. Certain specific games just wouldn't work, Super Street Fighter II and Super Ghouls N' Ghosts come to mind.
