does the wii sensor bar mess up CRT tvs?
Re: does the wii sensor bar mess up CRT tvs?
No. The CRT TV is like that because of a magnet or a sub woofer in my experiences. They don't hold up to well against high powered devices, so sometimes they go back to normal and other times they don't.

The Wii sensor bar is just what people have said, an Infrared pulser.
It's as harmless as a TV remote that is always pressing a button.

There's almost no way that a Wii sensor bar would mess up your CRT, but TV's do gain problems as they get older, so it may just be that something inside your TV has changed or finally broken, they don't build em' like they used to. As well, passing by while holding something heavily magnetic, something like an open hard drive, might have done it as well.
