didn' Ultima II already do that?
Ultima II allowed you to visit the planets seen in Oblivion? Years before the Elder scrolls series was even in the concept stage? Holy shit, that is amazing.
No, he meant visiting other planets in that game's solar system, which Ultima II did allow. Hell, in Ultima 0 you could buy a space ship and visit the moon. It's something Ultima did from day 1. Awesome games, those. I haven't played one in years.
...I know what he meant. My original point was not that I wanted to space travel in an RPG, I wanted to space travel specifically in the Elder Scrolls game world. Therefor his response opened himself up to my sarcasm.

I just read that Skyrim will NOT be just snow and rocks like I thought. It's actually based `on Scandinavia and Alaska.` It will have a lot of Redwood forests (google image that). It's going to be amazing!

Things were flagged in Morrowind too. But you didn't know which ones until you got arrested and have them taken away :(
Thanks everyone...

In Morrowind it wasn't so cut and dry. If you stole a diamond from Shop A then all diamonds you tried to sell to Shop A would get in trouble. But you could sell them to Shop B.

I'm a little nervous regarding the cuts to the skills. It doesn't give me hopes for polearms making their triumphant return.

Yeah, they keep taking stuff out of the games. We lost some armor, weapons, spells, and skills in Oblivion. But I think they're doing something different this time, they took out mysticism so I think spells that used to be in that category will now be in a different magic type. Basically, they're moving skills and stuff around into different categories.

The main thing I'm worried about is the amount and uniqueness of armor/weapons. I want spears and throwing stars back. And maybe even some new stuff. But they did say you will be able to craft your own weapons now. and DUAL WIELD! And finally: beards!!!

Is the hit detection going to be based on skill level, stats, etc or is it still going to be like Oblivion where every swing hits? Anybody know?
