Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Ticked - Because one of my coworkers came in yesterday the last two days are forfeit for Act of God time off (I am fighting it though). I was told by my boss I have to come in today because of it or I would have to take (more) personal days. So I get up well before dawn, get my old man and little brother up, load up in the 4wd vehicle and after an hour are out of their neighborhood. Due to our crazy ice storm I just decided to stay at my parents, mostly because in GA when it snows/ices we lose power and they have a fireplace, my place does not. So after a two hour drive that normally takes 30 minutes, and us getting stuck twice (my old man lived in Canada for a couple years and drove a car very similar to this one so that says something), I get to work and guess what. Im one of four people in the building (normally 70) and that coworker who came in, called off for today. So I have five peoples workload for the past three days...Now we are in local sales so its not as bad as it would be normally, but it is still alot. Why do I have to come in? Since I am hourly, they wont give me a laptop with VPN access so I can only do about half my job at home and National doesnt think the storm was that bad, so all hands on deck. True, if the storm happened in Chicago it wouldnt be that bad, but Atlanta gets an ice storm like once a decade so we only have a handful of plows/trucks.
My parents road still had an inch of ice on it this morning.
Smile - Job security (even if it is a shitty company), and one of the reps on another team is bringing me lunch, or so they say.
Edit:
In the five minutes I took to write that I received almost 100 emails, and was contacted by my father saying that I will probably have to stay here tonight...And the ac just kicked on. Atleast I have steady power here, not up and down like at my parents house currently.

They didnt bring me lunch, my boss brought me Chipotle though.
Ticked - Turns out that my old mans car got blocked in by some dumbass in a corvette (he parked it in the school near their house and the corvette parked across the entrance - he is tempted to just take a bat to it). So guess who is sleeping under his desk at work tonight?
Smile - tomorrow night I get to see my girl

Absolute downpour out here today. Again. I have to go to a doctor's appointment (like now) and once again it sounds like the house is being crushed by a waterfall.
But I already knew Hawaii got some crazy weather. Hardest rain I ever heard. (from TN originally) So you know... whatever.
Umm.. but at least I'm over my flu! Still got a cough, but that's clearing up.

Sad- My old German Shepherd/Coyote cross had been really sick this week. She was 17 years old and we realized that she had stopped eating. We brought her in the house and today my parents took her to the vet. There was a tumor around her heart. There was nothing they could do but put her down.
Goodbye Balto.
Smile- I don't want to right now.

At least you figured it out so you could let her go peacefully.

OMG, yes was Actraiser 2 disappointing. It took me a long time to track that sucker down, because I didn't have the internet in the 90s. And when I finally did, I wanted to scream.Mr.White555 wrote:I have had the entire week off cause of the weather around here so I decided to catch on my snes collection.
