I was in my favorite thrift store yesterday and stumbled across the madcatz rumble rod for nintendo 64. I had no idea that the n64 even had a fishing controller. I've had trouble finding any online and that makes me wonder if they're worth a lot or just not worth having. I'd have to order a game online to even use the thing, but if it's awesome, then I'll just have to deal with that.
Anyone ever seen/used one? Thoughts?
What's a reasonable price?
All help appreciated.
N64 Fishing Rod?
So, I went ahead and bought the rod. I don't have a fishing game, so I can't test the realness factors of the reel and response. I did play Zelda: OoT and THPS:2 with it. Of course, the mini-fishing game does not make use of the fishing controls. It's mapped to the A and B buttons.
Skating in tony hawk was quite difficult due to the button layout. The hand position is basically overlapping. I posted some pictures of the rod.
It was still in the packaging. It had been opened, but the only thing removed was the force pak.

I'll try to get some video of it in action in the near future.
