I concur. Antennas have become much worse since they became integrated into the phones. The only ones that are still good for me are the flip phones as the antenna is in the top part of the phone which is kinda a pseudo stick-antenna.Inazuma wrote:So how come the antennas on cell phones got worse?

I'm gonna go down to a Radio Shack today and most likely buy this Samsung Intercept and try and switch my number over to Virgin Mobile. It's a no brainer. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

But no, it's not available here. I'm waiting for the iPhone5 to see how it is before considering my phone change this year.

Noise, I was reading reviews about Virgin Mobile and they kinda scared me off. For starters, I'm hearing that sometimes it takes a while to get a text. I have read this in many reviews, but also, I called Radio Shack about the pricing on a phone and they guy told me this as well. He asked why I was interested in Virgin Mobile and told me they get a lot of complaints.
You said the customer service is horrible, and that's what 90% of the bad reviews are about. But after reading the reviews, horrible isn't the right word anymore. Every body says you have to go through a long "press 1 for..." menu before being on hold for a long time until you get some one. Then the person you get can't speak English well. This is true for a lot of customer service departments, but it gets worse. Every one says the reps are VERY rude and bounce your call around a lot, and often your call will be dropped which means you have to wait on hold again.
That's one thing, but then I was reading about people saying they steal money from them. People said they take money out of their account when they shouldn't have, or that they'll get weird fees for unknown reasons.
Then I was reading a lot of people said they'll have a problem with their phone, like not being able to receive any text messages, and have to deal with customer service AND they wont even fix the problem!
I don't know, $25/month sounds great but I'm reading too many horror stories about it. Now I'm back to square one, not knowing at all what I'm gonna do about a cell phone.
