Well, that and I've always thought I'd love to be an editor for either a major publishing house or newspaper. I love to write, but I love to edit almost as much- I've just always had a good deal of fun moving words around so they flow better. To me, it's like one of those slot puzzles where you just have to keep moving the pieces until the image is whole. I'm not actually sure whether going back and editing isn't the whole reason I enjoy writing in the first place.
whats your dream job?
Re: whats your dream job?
Personally, my dream job would be to be a certified veterinary technician... which I am.

You're the coolest teacher I know.SpaceBooger wrote:Honestly, I love my current job but don't consider it a dream job because of all the grading. I am a middle school science teacher.
As for any other job I would want would to own a comic book/used video game store (mainly retro). I wold want to make it Borders like where there would be seating for pursuing the items and to encourage discussion and hanging out.
But seriously, a dream job for me is a Hurricane Hunter, I am intrigued by the sheer size, force, and intensity of a hurricane/typhoon/cyclone and it seems like such a fun job, even with the research involved.
A dream that I would love to become a reality is a voice actor as well, but I have no idea how I would get into the business. Doesn't seem too hard if you can do a bunch of different accents.

I always wanted to write.
Well, technically I DO, but you know, it'd be nice to actually get paid for it too

Electronics columnist.
I've written well-reviewed fiction and non-fiction, I'm proven in chaos (I work about 6 conventions a year), and I live out of a suitcase.

A job where I get 5k anytime I type "we already have a thread for that".
I wouldn't mind being Natalie Portman's personal boy toy, but I absolutely love my job. I'm the director of internet marketing and sales for two multi-million dollar companies. Great companies, great bosses, great pay, great opportunities.
But what do I do? I set up internet sales sites with the intent to match their retail sales at 10%, which is the industry standard. This includes managing all the sales, accounting and finance issues, social media, as well as developing marketing strategies. Lots of travel too. I'm responsible for my sites 24/7, 365 days a year but I do have the option of working from a satellite office, which I rarely do. I'm busier than a hooker on New Years Eve, but I love it.

Be my own boss. Having my own internet business and making enough money to make a decent living.
Thanks everyone...

You get paid to play THE SAME GAME until you know it inside and out and want to end yourself. I have one friend who worked for Atari and another for EA for years.BurningDoom wrote:Being a video game tester, what else? You get paid to play video games.
