Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Do we have a head count yet? I am bringing one guest.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

So far it should be something like:

Redline9
Hobie
Flake + 1
phaedrus
Shark1
Siren
redfield0009 (from neo-geo forums) + a friend
and myself

That's 10 so far.

I'm getting the usual maybes from a buddy at work who's been unable to make the last 3 meet ups. Replica was a maybe last time I checked, but I haven't talked with him in a month.

Feel free to plug the meet. I told David at Game Over to expect about 15.

I have plugged us on shmups, neo-geo, houston-imports (it's a car forum), Dreamcast Talk and Destructoid.

LOL... I doubt any of them will show up. They mostly ignore my posts on that forum. I tried starting a "gaming in person" discussion in the Scott Pilgrim game thread and got a response similar to what you would expect from a group of Southern Baptists after telling them God isn't real.

Oh, and I'm trying to get Eddie, the manager of the North Game Over store, to take the day off and stop by.

I tried to get Adam Koralik, possibly the biggest Dreamcast whore in the US and possibly the world, to come but he lives in Chicago and that just isn't going to happen. :D

I updated the games list and separated things into genre...

Power Stone 2
Revolt
Red Dog: Superior Firepower
Gauntlet Legends

Garou: Mark of the Wolves
Marvel vs Capcom
Capcom vs SNK
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Soul Calibur

Giga Wing
Gunbird 2
Mars Matrix
Zero Gunner 2
Expendable

Unreal Tournament
Outtrigger

ChuChu Rocket
Sonic Shuffle
Typing of the Dead
Atari Anniversary Edition

House of the Dead 2

We need as many Playstation to Dreamcast controller converters as we can get our hands on. If you have one, bring it. We need regular Dreamcast controllers, too.

I'm still looking for a 19" or 20" TV to dedicate to a system. Be sure you are OK with rotating the set for shmups. Make sure the TV supports S-Video or Composite. A 19" CRT VGA monitor will work, too.

Yo, I'll be there with about 2-3 buddies from the the Videogame meetup group. I know I was talking about bringing some xblig projects to show but they aren't really ready yet :( I'll still play some dreamcast!

I just learned of the meetup from a Game Over mail. I've been a Atari 2600/XE collector for a long time and just returned to Austin from New York. I'll try to come by for some of the meet -- I've got my own Dreamcast controller (I think I might have the arcade stick for it somewhere). I'm sure I've got a VMU with a dead battery around too.

 Unbelievable. Makes me wonder why they play games at all. I would jump at any chance to play games in a community setting. It's not like you're asking them permission to enter a 14 year old's vagina for Christ's sake. They could at least politely decline...

UPDATE: I will be bringing the following to the meet up:

SAT to DC controller converter w/ Twin Sticks, VOOT (JAP) and Virtua Stick.

As usual, I will be on hand to serve as videographer. Rest assured, there is a Thanksgaming video in the works, but I just haven't had the time to really pull it together.
