a while ago I got an LG Rumour Touch prepaid through Virgin Mobile. Their customer service is crap -- but dude, I get something like 200-400 mins a month (I'm not sure, cuz I don't talk on it THAT much) PLUS unlimited text, unlimited web and it has a camera and mp3 player. This is $25/mo. You really can't beat that.

That, and it doesn't have Wi-Fi; a fact that I found out when I tried to set up my friend's new Rumor Touch that he got for Christmas.

I can see why you got the Rumor Touch, they don't have many phones to choose from (just 5). And out of them, there's only 3 I would consider, priced $150 (Rumor Touch), $200 (Blackberry) and $250 (Samsung Intercept). Radio Shit has a sale right now on the Intercept, $200. It ends on the 15th though, so not a lot of time to make a decision. I'm thinking about switching my number to Virgin Mobile though. $25/month? It'd almost be crazy not to. The only thing I'm worried about is the coverage, but I checked the map and it doesn't look bad. Still, coverage might not be as good as the map makes it look. But that's the only thing I'm worried about. I think my friend has Sprint, and Virgin Mobile says they use the Sprint network, so I'll ask my friend about his coverage. I might switch in the next few days. Fuck T-Mobile!

I just sold my iPhone. While it was nice having the internet in my pocket, the cons just outweighted the pros. The new phone I chose for my company phone is a nice, simple Motorola flip top. While it can't check the status of your Facey Spacey, it can make nice, clear uninterrupted calls. It doesn't drop calls, my sausage fingers never hit the wrong button, battery life is great and its easy to use.

I went to Verizon Wireless the other day cause I'm due for an upgrade ( I currently have the LG Dare) and was looking for a phone that didn't require a data plan. I don't need internet or games on my phone (thats what my ipod touch is for) and they only had like 6 phones that didn't require a data plan and none of them interested me. Talk about options
