This works NOT because you made better contact with the system by reinserting it, but because the moisture actually increases the conductivity between the pins, getting it to play. You were right on the fact that this degrades the pins on both the cart and the system by means of corrosion over time.
Yeah I actually realized that I made the mistake but decided not to edit it because they didn't actually know how it worked. I was just trying to get the basic cleaning points across.

And you are right. I should have elaborated a bit more.

Nub here, I rarely go to gamespot so could you inform me on who these guys are and what happened?
Edios bought tons of ad space on Gamespot for Kane and Lynch
Gerstmann wrote an honest review of Kane & Lynch giving it a 6/10
Edios requested he revise the review due to the adspace and revenue they are paying Gamespot for
Gerstmann took the ethical highroad on the situation and stood by his review
Gamespot fires Gerstmann
If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?

Right, but you have to explain things to people like that a certain way. Acknowledge what they do is alright, but "hey, have you tried this? Do it this way and it'll be a more permanent fix because...blah blah blah corrosion why their way isn't the best."
But yeah, don't even bother most of the time. Spend your time helping people here, because frankly, everyone here seems to be a lot more intelligent.
I have been done with gamespot, and just about every other video game news website
Ign - They will have an article like mass effect 3, you click it and it is "10 things we don't want in mass effect 3"
Kotaku - Owned by gawker and they publish stupid shit for page views. Like the fucking "Blood Consoles" Kotaku can screw themselves
Destructoid - Good news site actually. The only problem is Jim Sterling. I disagree with his opinions but I don't dislike him for that. He believes that bias and opinion is the same thing, everyone but him is a dick, and gets defensive after calling people immature names.
Gamespot - It and gamefaqs are the same thing forum wise, and That Kane and Lynch controversy.
1up - I don't remember what made me pissed off about them, I guess I should go back until I find out what I hated them for. WAIT I KNOW WHAT IT WAS. They stir up shit for no reason. Like :3DS battery life 3-5 hours is that enough? Weigh in on the discussion." However that is with everything running on the 3ds.
Vgchartz and their news and reviews websites - A bunch of people arguing about sales that are often incorrect.

To be dead serious, I don't think they would recognize anything Sega related.
Hence the "maybe".
Most of the time when Sega is mentioned, it's something along the lines of "Sega was shit, they were just Ninty's bitch! All they had was Sonic."

As for the 'dude, what's that?' thing: I remember talking to some MW fanboy, saying I personally didn't think it held a candle to Counter-Strike.
it's like a the internet version of a post-apocalyptic desert world, ain't it? Like in Mad Max, only instead of fighting over resources, they fight over who has the bigger e-peen.
