Went out to Pinballz with some friends last night and I was disappointed in something.

They had one of these pieces of shit there:

Image

It was set to a $1, and NO ONE played it the entire two hours I was there. It took up an entire vestibule on it's own and no one touched it, but there it sat, eating up electricity, not making a dime and being god-awful.

DDR and other huge expensive-to-play-and-maintain games were a contributing factor to the arcade disappearing. I know they want to attract a young crowd and all, but NO_ONE touched it. And it's right up front so it's not like people didn't realize it was there. No one wants that thing there. I say get rid of it and get some arcade games people want to play, and stop setting stuff for a $1 price-tag.

One week!

Does someone have a 19"/20" CRT they can bring? Something with composite or possibly even S-Video.

Sadly I do not.

I do, however, have a copy of Power Stone to practice on so that I may redeem my humiliation at the last meet up!
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

*putting together prizes and giveaways*

I think I'm going to try to take half a day off on Monday so I can stay out late after the meet. Unfortunately I don't have enough vacation hours for a full day.

Ok, I have secured wheels suitable for long distance transportation. I'm not sure if I want to just come on Sunday morning, or Saturday night. I'm not really looking forward to getting up at 8 AM Sunday to drive there though. I dunno if I want to head there Saturday and get a room somewhere either since I'm already renting a car.

My request was approved. I do not have to work until 3pm on Monday.

Is everybody ready for some VMU induced tinnitus!?

Well, let's see.......I will have to consult my physician first before starting any strenuous VMU activity.

Hmm, if you put 2 VMUs in a controller, do they both beep? I have 5 or 6 I can bring.

Yes, they do! Unfortunately it's probably going to blow the controller ports. If you want to donate a Dreamcast, we can totally do this. Just don't expect me to fix it afterward.
