Well he did ask for the cheapest option, on original hardware. I don't see how there could even be a debate that the Neo Geo CD is not the best option... price wise.Breetai wrote:Only in the short term.saturnfan wrote:Neo Geo CD.

It just has terrible load times and different titles is all; small things that make is a tier below aes/mvs.saturnfan wrote:Well he did ask for the cheapest option, on original hardware. Aren't most CD titles available in the numerous compilations for PS2, etc.?
I'd love to see a list of stuff that has still appeared only on the MVS/AES or NeoGeo CD.

I would as well, I know http://www.neo-geo.com has a master list of sorts that lists the titles for each platform, but I have not seen a compilation list.

But he asked about price on orginal hardware. The Neo Geo CD is the best price, there is no debate on that. Everybody knows the AES is better.Bradtemple87 wrote: It just has terrible load times and different titles is all; small things that make is a tier below aes/mvs.

Re: What's the cheapest way to get into Neo Geo?
Because in the long term, any owner of the NGCD will eventually be uncontrollably drawn to get a Neo Geo cartridge system. Therefore, in the long term, getting an MVS is actually the cheapest option.saturnfan wrote:Well he did ask for the cheapest option, on original hardware. The most HARDCORE (in more ways than one) option would be to be just like ROT and go AES.
