Welcome! There's a link to pet pics just above your post, coincidentally.
I've heard awesome things about racketboy.

Yo. And thanks for the warm welcome, everyone.

Hello everyone. I'm a 25 year old retro gamer who grew up on the NES and the Genesis which are the main focuses of my game collection.

I've got a degree in professional writing, not that it does me any good in this economy, and I've enjoyed some of the articles here on the site so I thought I'd visit the forum.

Check out some of the blogs members have linked to this site, Noise has an especially strong one focused on the game boy universe. Ack also just posted a great article on fighting games.

Welcome! I also focus mainly on Nes and Genesis games. Nice to meet you!

I am about to get a degree in Creative Writing that I am sure is probably not going to help me much either. Sigh... at least we have our games to comfort us! :D

Gunstar Green, PixelPixii, might I suggest the route I took for both of you?

Graduate school.

Seriously, it helped me get a job, albeit one that didn't last, and I managed to further pursue academic interests that had unfortunately developed a bit late in my undergraduate career. Plus if you go in now, there's a solid chance there will be a better economic atmosphere when you get out.

I hope.
