Favorite Original Gameboy game

Super Mario Land 2 without a doubt is phenomenal. Pokemon Red and Blue were great. Link's Awakening. Donkey Kong Land. Game Boy Camera was a lot of fun too.

This. All that were listed. Also, you really can't go wrong with any of the Ninja Turtles games. Konami/Ultra >>>>> Ubisoft as far as the Turtles license goes. Except the GBA TMNT game. Ubisoft did well with that.

EDIT: Also, just a side note... Konami > Ubisoft ALWAYS in my book. I didn't mean to make it sound like they only do the Turtles better.

Mole Mania. In my opinion, it is right up there with Link's Awakening and Donkey Kong '94 as the best of the best original Gameboy games.

ProfessorK is right about Konami/Ultra for the most part. But they dropped the ball with most of their GB sports titles and have you ever played Top Gun Guts & Glory? What a piece of shit. They definitely didn't ALWAYS do right. But they DID make a lot of gold on the GB as well. And yes, the Ubi TMNT on GBA is AMAZING.

oh and good call above me on Mole Mania. What an incredibly great game.

Kid Icarus of myths and monsters

if you enjoyed the first on NES, then you can not afford to miss out on this installment
it's everything the NES version was, but improved beyond what thought to be possible

I mean, you can actually save your game
and you can fall down, without dying!!

this game is the perfect sequel to one of the NES's absolutely most brilliant games

a must-have for anyone, who likes the original

and it is (at least in Sweden) very, very affordable

and as I just noticed, upon playing it on a GBA-SP, you get colors as well, very remniscent of the original NES version

(sorry for the rant, but I cannot stress enough how much I love Kid Icarus =))

Kirby's Dream Land - I always thought of this as a fun quick game if you enjoyed Kirby's Adventure.

Link's Awakening - Easily the most fun I had with an original Game Boy game.

Final Fantasy Legend III - Decent 8-bit RPG if you're into them.

Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins - Used to steal if from my brother it was so fun.

Dr. Mario - Great if you tire of Tetris.

Pokemon Blue/Red - Great if you enjoy simplistic turn-based RPGs with collecting elements.

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 - My personal favorite original Game Boy game.

Ah yes, how could I forget Mole Mania. Truly one of the best puzzle games I've ever played.

also puzzle-wise I'd suggest Hexcite, which is technically GBC but fully bc with the original GB. Oh Oh and Daedalian Opus for GB is another brilliant puzzler. Both of those aren't like falling-blocks-hurry! games, but rather it's-your-turn-think-hard-about-yr-next-move games.
