Is there a list of them somewhere?

Don't know, but PS2 games have a Brazilian flag in Wikipedia now: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ps2_games

There is, I've looked there. There's nothing. There's only a handful of games for sale, admittedly at lower prices than at retail or even other websites. Nothing too impressive, though, and it's a pretty short list of games: http://www.sonystyle.com.br/br/site/cat ... cat5060006

(The games sell for R$70, which is about 40 dollars, by the way.)

I was more curious if the Sony Brazil site would have a listing of upcoming games?

That's what I'm saying, there isn't. There isn't a list of already released games nor a list of upcoming ones. Quite sad, I would like something to look forward to as well.

I sent them an email. Probably nothing will come out of it, though.

Christ! The newest PS3 games sell for R$200, which would be about $120 USD. That's insane. I see they even offer installment payments

Is there much of a good second hand market?

There isn't a second hand market at all. Either people eat these prices up or they don't play games (or pirate, in the case of the Wii and 360).

In my city specifically, we can buy older cartridge games downtown, so at least we have that. It's not a general thing, however.

That's why I've turned to Steam and PC gaming - only place I can play games on a budget. Maybe eventually I'll ask people here to help me buy stuff overseas at least.

Most likely that's due to the Brazilian government (import duties/taxes) rather than Sony.
