Is this a spare console that you've just picked up or is this one you've had in your collection for a while?

Like everyone says, I replaced one years ago and its a breeze. The pin just pops off the board.

Your post may be sarcastic but I've found console maintenance and repair very easy and enjoyable. But that's me... Maybe you absolutely detest servicing consoles...

Another chip disable guide.

Ideally you want a small angled wire cutter like this so you can clip just the correct pin.

Also you can try bending the pins in the existing connector until you get a new one.
