No Agalloch fans here? 'Marrow of the Spirit' is a masterpiece, I've thoroughly enjoyed it and was expecting a few metal heads here to have already mentioned it. Also, 'Hawk' by Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan is just a fantastically smooth album, same goes for Adreya Triana's debut release 'Lost Where I Belong'.

Have you heard Soulsavers? It's a Mark Lanegan project, well... he sings on it anyway. They did a kickass song called Unbalanced Pieces featuring Mike Patton doing, get this, backup vocals. It's got a sick groove, here it is...

I am a huge Nine Inch Nails fan, so I'm biased towards liking anything Reznor does. But I don't care who you are, his rendition of In The Hall of the Mountain King is genius.
Reznor just won the Golden Globe tonight for best original score in a motion picture. I didn't even know he was nominated. That's pretty cool.

Since I've been catching up on some great 2010 stuff, I'll add some more choices that I have really enjoyed

And I also agree with previous posts about the awesomeness of Arcade Fire's The Suburbs, Agalloch's Marrow of the Spirit and Janelle Monae's The ArchAndroid
