TurboGrafx Classics are coming to PSN!!

Post by Betamax001 »

It seems Sony REALLY wants my money! First we get PS1 imports (rather slowly though...) and eventually this year the PSN is getting Xenogears, but now after being on the Japanese PSN for awhile now, it looks like the PlayStation Network is going to be getting Turbo Grafx games on the US service!

I hope they are for both PS3 and PSP in one download, not like the Neo Geo ones. But I hope they add more titles as the months go by, because I am so down with not having to buy a Turbo Grafx. Hopefully they also add CD games as well, because finding cheap working CD units can be a pain.

Either way, I think there are more games I want on the PSN then on actual retail discs!
NES, SNES, PS1, N64, DC, PS2, GCN, Wii, PS3, 360, GB, GBC, GBA, GBA SP, PSP 3000, and 3DS XL

Dang, Sony's stepping up their game. Can't believe all this stuff's really being released on PSN. Appealing to more of the niche crowd seems to be making PSN really awesome lately.

They will work on both the PS3 and PSP. I have quite a few Japanese PC Engine games I downloaded, and they work on both systems flawlessly (with save states!). There are quite a few CD games on the Japanese PSN, so I suspect there will be in English as well. Even though I have quite a lot of PCE stuff from my Japanese PSN account, there is one TG-16 game I will download when it comes out:

Ys Books I&II. I want them in English without having to fool around with emulators on my PSP.

I am bitter about Neo Geo games not working on my the PS3 and PSP. That is just pathetic.

I've already bought a whole bunch of these on Wii VC 12 months ago. I won't be re-buying on PSN.

Was it known knowledge that Neo Geo and TubroGrafx were coming to PSN? I noticed it a good two months ago and took it as known knowledge and didn't care to post it. After the PSP and PS3 had a firmware update, you can sort your game folders and it would sort into a PSP, Playstation, Neo Geo and Turbografx

Had I known it was new knowledge, damn, I wish I posted it a long time ago
If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?

It was known that TG16 were on the Japanese store, but they just announced quite recently about them being released in America.
