Possibly not the best but the versions I will be playing
Jan: Riviera - GBA
Feb: King of Fighters '98 - MVS/AES, or Dreamcast (as KoF99)
Mar: Dark Forces - PC title, console port on PSX
Apr: Deja Vu - NES - its superior to the PC version in many ways

May: Zoop - Honestly I dont know, I might buy the SNES or Jaguar version.
Jun: Gradius III & Parodius - SNES
Jul: Rayman - Jaguar
Aug: Populous - PC or DS

Sep: World Series Baseball '95 - No idea
Oct: Splatterhouse - TG16
Nov: Shining Force - Genesis
Dec: Super Monkeyball - Gamecube

I'll probably be going for:
Jan: Riviera - GBA
Feb: King of Fighters '98 - Cheating and playing King of Fighters R2 on neo geo pocket instead
Mar: Playstation, if it's working by then.
Apr: Deja Vu - Game Boy Colour

May: Zoop - Any. Does it matter? Any preferences?
Jun: Gradius III & Parodius - Game Boy
Jul: Rayman - Playstation (if its working)
Aug: Populous - PC (there's a DS version?)

Sep: World Series Baseball '95 - Notplaying
Oct: Splatterhouse - TG16 or VC
Nov: Shining Force - VC (its a tad pricy)
Dec: Super Monkeyball - Gamecube

Cant say they're the best, but they seem to be reasonably cheap and not bad so that'll do for me :p

OK so apparently it is a sequel on the DS and not a port:

while Parodius got a Japanese GB port, Gradius III did not. Your GB-related Gradius options are limited to:

Nemesis (sort of Gradius I)
Gradius: Interstellar Assault (sort of Gradius II)
Gradius Galaxies (GBA - sort of Gradius Gaiden I believe)

Hmm, I also realised that the game I've played before and enjoyed immensly is Populous: The beginning, and not the original populous. I had that on SNES and sold it because I found it frankly awful :?

I was going to go for Nemesis. I should've clarified.

I have Parodius on the GBC Konami Classics Collection 2 cart (japan and europe only), so I wanted to play a game boy gradius game to match.

edit: whoops, sorry for double posting, my bad.

When you say "dark forces" are you guys referring to star wars dark forces for ps1, or am I completely wrong. If so then I can actually take part this year! Yay

Gradius II (in Europe might be Nemesis II) is actually really good. They're both good though. Parodius on GB is excellent.
