The speculation is that it will be $250 in the US market.
250! Man, thats more than I was hoping for tbh. *sigh*
I just searched for this though and found two reports stating March 18 and March 19th for Europe, at £200. I cant wait until somethings actually confirmed.
We will know for sure in a couple weeks, but the global price parity is harder now than ever on Nintendo. And given how much buzz potential the 3DS has, I am betting on a price more like 279 than 249.
Incidentally, at the moment 250E translates to 27,376 Yen. Compare with 250USD buying a paltry 20,830 Yen.

So we pay the bill of the America - China currency war?

I'm not sure who the 'we' is in your post but I think few dislike the situation more than Nintendo specially or Japan in a broader since.
Europeans paying more for the same system. Yeah I do believe Nintendo is sadder than all of us. They managed to lose money even though their consoles and games still sell like crazy, because of VERY unfavorable exchange rates. Damn Yen stop being so strong.

So I'm thinking of pre-ordering this so I don't have to wait 5 months to buy it like I did with the Wii. I've had bad experiences with gamestop in the past that cost me money and I'm afraid they'll do the same with my pre-order. And I'm not even sure if I'll have (at the most) $250 by then, although I have $70 saved up already and I'm hoping gamestop will have some deal that when you trade in your old DSi you get 100$ discount on the 3DS.
So do you think I should pre-order it and do you think they'll have that discount I'm hoping for?
