Is the Dreamcast game Seaman worth getting?

Post by Scooter »

I'm a peripheral nut and I like quirky games so this game appeals to me. Complete copies pop up now and then but they aren't usually cheap. Is this one entertaining enough to bother with?

It's unique :)
How much are you thinking about spending on it?

Seaman is fantastically weird. I love it.

While we're on the topic, does anyone know what this unit looks like?

I'm actually playing Seaman right now . It's "unique", to say the least. Gameplay-wise there isn't really a ton to do, you give the Seaman food, adjust the heat and air in the tank. The neatest part is talking to Seaman. In the beginning there isn't really much to do, but later on as Seaman matures, you get to talk to him and he has all sorts of interesting facts.

I see complete copies on ebay for $35-$40 typically, not including shipping. I'm only interested in a complete copy with the microphone included along with the box, jewel case and instructions.

of course, you could always buy the mic seperate and burn the game. It'd be a tad cheaper then...

YES.

YES. YES.

YES. It's a one of a kind game, just be prepared to devote some time to it every other day. Takes a little while to get going, but once it does it becomes one of the most unique experiences in gaming out there, especially talking to your fish.
