Actraiser: I made it to the last boss in this game several years ago, but managed to get involved in something else and didn't beat it. Coming back to it, it is much easier than I remembered. The control during the platforming sections is a little stiff, kind of like Castlevania, but still feel good. The town-building simulation part is simplistic, but fun. The graphics and soundtrack are gorgeous, and it contains one of the few semi-serious discussions on religion I've seen in a video game. If you have an SNES, I highly recommend it.

Same here. Classic game, though I sort of hate all the old tricks you have to use to stay alive in some of these old brawlers. Still a classic, but a bit dated in gameplay mechanics

Also sort of finished Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin. I got what seems like a band ending so I'm not truly done with it yet. Still, I technically finished it. Funny, since it's like the third time I've gotten back to this game and I'm finally able to stick with it this time as I've got no other gaming distractions. I love the tag team gameplay which makes it more than just another Symphony of the Night clone. I actually enjoyed this more than Order of Ecclesia. I still need to try out some of the other Metroidvania titles I've missed. I love the enemy types in POR. More interesting selection than the generic vamps, werewolves and orgres of Lords of Shadow. I LOVE the evil maid enemy. Cracked me up when I saw her with her demon vacuum cleaner. Great bosses too. Thumbs up, best Metroidvania I've played since SOTN, but I still need to try the others

Finished Resident Evil 5's main story last week. Wesker is just... I really hate him. I'm playing through as Sheva now. This game is really fun and addictive. Since I own the Gold Edition I have access to all of the DLC. Lost in Nightmares was ok, but a bit short. Desperate escape more than made up for it. The action reaches Mercenaries levels here (not the game, the sub game within REs 4 & 5). In their short screen time, Jill and Josh are very likable. I enjoyed them as characters far more than I did Chris and Sheva.

Seriously, Capcom. Josh and Jill as the main characters in RE6.

I think Leon should be in re6. Just my opinion. I haven't played re5 yet although I just got it. Who's Josh?

He's a new character. He and Sheva are part of the West Africa BSAA branch and it appears they have been friends for awhile. Maybe a brother/sister relationship or romantic involvement. I don't think they ever explain it.

Ah cool. Since when does Jill have blonde hair? She was a brunette in re1/re3.

***spoilers***

Long story. She was experimented on by Wesker. He was attempting to harvest powerful antibodies she had developed after the events in RE3: Nemesis. These experiments left her with an albino-like appearance. Her hair is almost white and her skin is very pale. Even her eyes are ghostly.
