Croooow!'s gaming setup

Post by Croooow! »

Hey everyone, I'm a long time browser looking to become active around the forums. I like how polite and not crazy everyone is around here. I thought a good way to start would be by showing my living/gaming room and my games. Let me know if the pics are too big, I'd be happy to make them smaller.

My living room. I just got married and my wife was bound and determined to make this room look less like a bachelor pad.

The TV and TV stand.

The TV stand opened up. The consoles are PS2 slim, Wii, SNES, and Japanese Sega Saturn. On the left hand side I keep my Wii, GameCube, and PS2 games on the bottom and my SNES games in the drawer.
Image

I kind of freaked my wife out when I got excited about the SNES games fitting perfectly in the drawer.
Image

Gamecube, Wii, and PS2 games. Trying to think of a better way to stack these or a way to fit more in there. Suggestions welcome.

My cheapo SNES games

Super Famicom games, trying to get some more of these but the ones on eBay are always discolored
Image

More SNES games, sorry about the weird angle

My top tier SNES games
Image

Really need more DS games:

PS1 games
Image

I just got a Japanese Sega Saturn so I don't have too many games yet. I'm good enough at Japanese that I can play almost anything on the system.
Image

After I got my Japanese Saturn I went to one of my local game shops hoping to only find a black Virtua Stick and they had this for $9. Needless to say I was ecstatic.
Image

Nintendo handhelds, have an original GB and GBA at my parent's house.
Image

Original GB games, most of these I've had since I was a kid.
Image

I really need some more GBC games:
Image

I didn't know I had this many GBA games until I set them all up.
Image

I keep my PS1, Saturn, and DS games in these boxes I found cheap at Walmart:
Image

These boxes are brown in real life, I swear!
Image

Some of my PS2 games, the others are split up amongst my brothers.
Image

Gamecube games, again my brothers have some as well:
Image

Lastly Wii, which has really grown on my over the past year:
Image

Not pictured: N64 with about 30 games (again my brothers have it), PSone, Gamecube with GB player, and fat PS2 (all at my parents')

Nice collection, I particularly appreciate your SNES games. You have some great titles, even amongst the stuff you called "cheapo," and I'm quite envious of some of what you've got in there. I wish I had X2 and X3....

Cool. You must have a nice wife. :)

I highly recommend you get yourself a Genesis/Sega CD combo and a PC Engine/Super CD combo (or a Duo). Those are the essential systems you are missing. A Neo Geo of some sort would also be good for you.

I'll test your Japanese with my terrible Japanese:

Welcome, you have a very nice collection and I like how you don't have any filler. I dont think I noticed a bad game in the lot.

You have Sunset Riders and Donkey Kong '94 so you're OK in my book. Nice collection. Very clean and neat.

Some good stuff in there and nice less common titles. You need an afternoon of sticker removal though. :)
