Hmm... Doesn't an 8 out of 10 mean the game sucks?

That was my interpretation of the rating system.

When I rate game for my friends I don't even try to rate it in numbers of letters. I just tell them how much I personally would be willing to shell out for it.

*Revolt is awesome. I love the crazy tracks.

I agree with the earlier comment...if you're looking for a good racer, get San Francisco Rush 2049...its an arcade racer, but with all the different modes in it you'll be playing it for a long time...

me and my friends have been playing battle mode from the day the game was released, and we still play it practically every week...

as for other games, there are lots of gems on the dreamcast, just keep trying...you have to expect to run into some garbage games every once in a while...

The DC is the greatest system of all time (my opinion, of course!)...for me it is the fact that it was essentially an arcade board in a home console. We actually could get arcade-perfect ports. The shooter library (not first-person, of course!) is awesome, the fighters (GGX, MvC, Soul C) were instant classics, the DC could (and still can) go online (and play online for a couple of games), there are a million reasons to consider it way ahead of its time but I don't want to bore you guys, its OS is solid (even being from MS), it can easily be used as a Linux box, many of the great programmers considered it to be the best (Itagaki springs to mind), great selection of original games (Rez, Seaman, Samba...), the Sega stick for it is awesome...

For me, I seem to be the only one who doesn't think Gran Turismo is awesome. I've played them all a lot, but I never got the precision I wanted. I prefer the "realistic" driving games, and Sega GT to me was certainly more realistic in actually presenting different cars and their characteristics. And as for F355, I may be nuts, but it is perfect; certainly it is almost impossible to win a race, but I love the feel of it. Other racing or driving games mentioned earlier like Test Drive LeMans and 2049 are different but no less awesome. And the DC has something for everyone, but just like any console, you gotta look for it.

Long live the Dreamcast!

Why not get a Bleemed Gran Turismo for the Dreamcast? Then you'll a be able play Gran Turismo, but on the Dreamcast.

Well it uses up a full memory card, for one thing...

My favorite racers are Tokyo Xtreme Racer and LeMans. Both were probably the best racing games you can find. Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2 is also an awesome game, but it's pretty rare.

Memory is no question to me. I am now obligated to pick this up, as long as it's afordable. Also, I will try to create box art to match the other stuff in my colection.

The good thing is that the GT2 Bleemcast is the most authentic emulation of the 3 Bleemcast discs. They really aren't many gripes I had with it, other then over-filtered menus. Go play MGS on Dreamcast and you'll wonder why they ever released it. You're so much better off playing that game on PS1.
