Feels like thread #487 about the same topic
Basically yes, if you like the 360's exclusives better than the PS3's. Reliability has improved drastically with the latest S model, but these newer consoles are prone to fail sooner than previous ones (applies to all three). Another thing to consider is the marketplace, I've read that PSN offers more than XBLA, but don't quote me on that.

Re: xbox 360 woth getting?
I don't think it's worth it. Most of the good games are better on PC and are quite generic under the surface. I don't think it's worth paying for a full console to play third person shooters and beat'em ups specially since the reliability is horrible even after being improved with new models.
I don't think that the games on XBLA justify the price of a new system, they are a nice add-on but they don't support the system on it's own.
Anyways, input of what kind of games you like should be the first thing you should mention because even the worst of the consoles can appeal to certain people and there are always games not availble elsewhere.

XBLA is the main thing it has going for it over anything else, but WiiWare and PSN are slowly expanding there libraries and catching up...

I'd just stick with the wii.

Get a Wii or a PS3. You have to pay 60 bucks a year to play online. Not worth it. Only real exclusives are Gears of War 2, Halo, and Alan wake. Every thing else is either on PS3 or PC.

Now this is all my personal opinion but I wouldn't get a 360. I hardly ever play mine and just taking a brief glance at my games they are mostly first person shooters... Not exactly my favorite genre and I've found it rather difficult to discover good games of other genres for the system...
So overall, get a Dreamcast.

I already have a dreamcast and i love that thing. Since i don't have the funds, i would be parting my gamecube collection and I have every mario, zelda, every rare game that's worth 20.00 and up and i don't play with them nor i'm not a collector anymore so i dont caregetting rid of them. But what I'm afraid of is selling my collection spending the money and getting an xbox that dies in a year.Opa Opa wrote:Now this is all my personal opinion but I wouldn't get a 360. I'm surprised by how many people dislike the 360. I have heard good things about the console from many of my friends who love it. They all really like the xbox live experience and think it's well worth the $60 per year.
I've toyed with the idea of getting the console myself.

-facepalm-
You're all wrong. The new 360s don't really fail. The only issue is with the earlier new ones, where the DVD drive was messed up. It's fixed now.
