Is there a gun thread?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Dude I customized the barrel on my Genesis Menacer, optimized the optics, added a laser sight, upgraded the grip, customized a hairpin trigger, and gave it a new paintjob. That thing can shoot tomatoes on that toejam and earl minigame faster, more efficient and deadlier than ever

I wish I did all of this, that would be a significant waste of my time

Same here. I've got my rifle shooting merit badge. Shooting five shots in an area the size of a quarter, then doing it again on another target immediately afterwards? Tough, but not tough enough for me. :)

I also have taken five shots from a shotgun at clay pigeons. I'd consider hitting one out of five when I'd never used a shotgun before to be pretty good. :P
rifle shooting was actually the first badge I got. I sucked with the shotgun too, so don't feel bad.

Pshaw! That's not a troll!

No, we don't have a gun thread because people shouldn't have guns.

That's a troll!

I haven't been to the range in ages, as there wasn't any I had access to in Tuscaloosa, and with all the gun shops in Auburn closing, the only way to get a pass to the outdoor range here is to go buy a year pass at the Forest Ranger station in nearby Tuskegee. I own a Ruger Security Six .357, a SIG Sauer P226 9mm, as well as the traditional 12-gauge pump shotgun. I've taken the shotgun hunting before, but I've only been once, so it's a new experience for me.

Of the three, I prefer the Ruger. I prefer revolvers to automatics. Guess I'm just old fashioned.

I don't like real world guns. I'll stick with my video game guns.

This is a very American thread. I always found gun afficianados kinda creepy, although I don't mean to insult anyone here. I think it's just a very different attitude to them over in the US to here.
