Xenogears is coming to PSN!

Don't miss out of Threads of Fate or Legend of Mana. ToF is one of my favorite Square titles, and LoM has co-op. Both are great games and it's a shame that they will likely be forgotten yet again, thanks to Square releasing them at the same time as Xenogears and Vagrant Story.

see im actually kinda at a dilemma right now. first of all two of the for games i already own (Vagrant story and xenogears). now the other two, are games i have played before and loved them to no end. problem is, while i want to get them on psn, I'm also trying to get the actual copies since my goal has been to get all of the us ps1 squaresoft releases (im getting close to that goal ^^). im afraid getting these games will hamper my want for the real things.

The disc copies of xenogears are really cheap now. You can pick one up mint black label for around $40

Eh, many people have yet to play it's awesomeness. there is a lot of elements that make the game amazing. first of all the amazing story that digs into many social issues in religion and philosophy. often the story is deep and complex, and at many times makes you question yourself on a lot of your belief's. the characters are quite great too, with a lot of mystery surrounding most of them and with a lot of emotion strung into a character. the gameplay is great too, something a bit fresh in my opinion. the game is decently long too and the look of the game is excellent too. there is a lot to like about this game.

I've never played Xenogears. What makes it so good.

Fei and Citan (main characters) are two of the best written characters I have ever seen in a game. Production got cut on the second disc so instead of cutscenes it plays like a narrative. It does have some really long segments in the cutscenes and a lot of reading, but it helps create the foundation of the story.

I know that. It's not the emulation part, it's more the legitimacy of it (Square Enix would get a few bucks) and not having to play it on my laptop. Which, I suppose is fine. Though my PSP and PS3 could use some more JRPG love besides just FFVII. (There's many JRPGs for the PSP I want, though I don't have the money )
