I sold two PSOne+LCD (Sony-branded) systems to him. His payment was prompt, and he received the package in good order. Great rapport and an asset to the Racketboy community.

Both were very patient with me...I had some unexpected shipping difficulties as I was on vacation but I did finally get their orders out. They were extremely understanding of my situation. Rest assured fellas, I hardly ever take that long to ship.

+1 noiseredux for the quick payment. Sorry for the delay getting to the post office, but you have a freebie in there anyway so we're cool, right?

@ Saturn

Why should I send money to a stranger without an item in my hand first? (rhetorical)

If nobody trusted anyone else we'd never do any trading and mail order and ordering online wouldn't work. In this case it is a trusted member of the forum with 100+ positive feedback and no negatives versus one who had one positive and one negative before the transaction started. The seller agreed to the transaction, then backed out.

Because if you use paypal the right way with someone you don't know or has bad feedback then paypal will cover your ass. you know? There is no other way about it. If you gift stuff to people you do not know then you are foolish.

I just had an awesome deal with Crisis actually. My next post will be about that.

I've debated posting this for a LOOOOONG time - because I did not want to give scammers information. But the idea that paypal "will cover you" is complete misinformation.

Paypal covers you in the event you recieved NOTHING. In the event you recieved anything, you have no complaint. They do not get into condition or content disputes.

If you read the terms/conditions it sounds like your covered, even when you go to open a case, you think your covered. Then you open the case, and in about 10 minutes it's closed - with a generated email explaining that they do not guarantee content of or condition of items, only that the seller shipped you an item and it arrived.

Case in point. 2 years ago I bought a modded dreamcast and I think it was 12 games from this guy (not a racketboy deal). The DC arrived - not working and all 12 games were burns w/printed art. I contacted the seller, no reply. Opened a case, and like I said, case was closed in seller's favor. I've had 2 of these similar situations on paypal on there was ZERO ass coverage.

In theory any of you can send me $100 for Radiant Silvergun. I can print a label on paypal and ship you Radiant Shit-gun or some other worthless game. You will open a case - and lose 100 times out of 100.

As stated - I debated putting this out there for a long time, but I know from reading post after post about paypals "protection" and I just think, ummmm, nope.
