Microcenter in Northern Virginia has 12 in stock. They're the only ones in town. Guess people think of them as a computer store but they have video games.

Biggest thing I can say for this game vs the SNES version, it looks great on an HDTV for 2 reasons. 1 component output, unlikely to be done on US SNES. 2 the Wii outputs it at 480i so less video processing it done vs the hooking up a SNES straight to an HDTV.

I'll second this. I was amazed at how nicely it looks on my HDtv.
Also, I actually like how Nintendo left it unchanged from the Snes version. You pop it in, click Play, and it loads right up with the Mario-headed coin and plays like it's 1993 all over again - No added menus or options to sort through.

Although I agree that it would have been nice if they included Super Mario World with it. It just seems like a glaring omission. :?

Yeah then again, if you soft-mod your Wii for the SNES emulator, you'll get the same nice component out on all your SNES games.
 (FC, AVFC, NES, SFC x2, SNES, N64, GC x2, Wii x2)*(G&W x7, GB, GBpocket, GBASP, DS-L x2)
(GEN, SS x3, DC x3)*(PCE-Duo)*(Xbox:500GB)*(NGCDZ, NGPC)*(PS1, PStwo, PS3:160GB, PSP.3K)

I did notice Amazon was out of stock for a short time and other sellers were selling it for $55+ but I'm sure they will have more copies available soon. I saw several at my local stores like Target and Best Buy. I would definitely check local retailers don't overpay for this compilation :)

Especially since one could buy the original SNES cart that includes Super Mario World for less than $30.00.

I'm really glad I got one the day it came out. I couldn't find it locally now if my life depended on it. I sure as hell wouldn't be spending the $50+ some of the online stores are trying to hoc it for.
