I don't want to be the person to mention this, but I heard a rumor that the Philly meet stands little to no chance to being as successful or awesome-tacular as the CTX meet was.
...Just sayin.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Re: Philly retrogaming meetup
It's true, Atomic Comics on South St. has a 6-player cab for X-men, but it's in need of some serious TLC. When I saw it running, one of the screens looked off color and a bit off center. But, hey - it's a working 6P X-Men cab, and how many of those do you run into these days..?samsonlonghair wrote:Well, that got my attention. Is this for real? I was lucky enough to play one of these monstrous six-player arcade cabinets in my youth. I'd love the opportunity to play again. If one of the possible venues sports a six-player x-men cabinet, then your decision is obvious. Don't get me wrong; I love the free library in Philadelphia. A six-player x-men arcade would tip the scales for any video game meetup. Ask the owner to set the machine to freeplay for us.Rurouni_Fencer wrote:6-player X-Men Cab

So any news on this? I assume it is a bust?
Re: Philly retrogaming meetup
Hey, sorry I haven't replied in forever but people get busy sometimes.
It is not a bust we just had trouble finding a venue and then everyone got busy, but fear not.
Right now I think we'd need to start out small and maybe do some handheld hangouts or maybe meet up at PAX East. I was actually just coming here to see what everyone was doing about PAX. I can't wait.
