Discovering Phantasy Star IV

Post by gennss »

Well I have the huge genesis collection disc on the 360, so I finally got a chance to try phantasy star 4. I haven't gotten very far, but I was surprised how quick I got comfortable with it, and how long I stayed enjoying it. (and how much I worried about progress/saving). The blur effect really smooths out this game too. I love it.

I recently got this as a loose cart somewhere, and I also have this on the Genesis Collection disc... still have yet to play it substantially yet

I might have to do that after I beat my copy of Pier Solar that is suppose to arrive soon...

I LOVE Phantasy Star IV. It's easily one of my favourite RPGs. I've probably beat it a half dozen times or more. I remember buying it right when it came out. Darn thing was $99 plus tax. That was $114 with tax just for a Genesis game!!!! Insane. Awesome game for sure. Pity that not so many people really got into it.

I remember picking up at KB Toys a few months after release for $15-30 when they decided to liquidate the poor Gene. I'm like the rest, I have not beaten it though a buddy borrowed my copy and completed it.

Yup, I got it February 1995. I got my paycheck from McDonald's, cashed it at the grocery store across the street, walked over to Wal-Mart, and got my copy!
