Capcom, where's my Marvel Compilation/collection?

Post by JC48573 »

yea, it would be a great collection, but capcom needs to make sure the ports are good translations of the arcade games.

X-men Children of the Atom
Marvel Super Heroes
X-men vs. Street Fighter
Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter

Sigh...I need to stop dreaming.

that may not happen yet, capcom barely got the license back!

which is a good thing since marvel vs capcom 3 will make millions

Activision owned the rights for marvel videogames for a few years, remember their games?

Licences change hands frequently on popular games. so it may be hard to re issue them

but now disney is a owner of marvel comics so who know what they have to say

I was always hoping to see a collection like this, what with the SFA, DS and SF Anniversary collections.

But yeah, that time is past now. I doubt we'll ever see something like this, even now with Marvel seeming to be a little looser with the license (what with X-Men appearing on PSN/XBLA). Just another reason that the Sega Saturn will never outlive it's usefulness.

couldn't someone put 'em all on the same disc for the Dreamcast? after all, there's an ISO with these on it:

Super Street Fighter 2 x - JAP Version
Super Street Fighter 2 x - English Translated Version
Marvel vs Capcom 2 - US Version
Marvel vs Capcom 2 - JAP Verson
Street Fighter 3 : Third Strike US Verson
Street Fighter 3 : Third Strike JAP Verson
Capcom vs SNK 2 "Millionaire Fighting"
Super Puzzle Fighter 2

@optmusprimenumber

They'd have to have been released for the Dreamcast. Aside from MvC1 and 2, they weren't.

The only way I could possibly see a Compilation on the Dreamcast working is if they used Bleemcast'ed PS1 versions... and I'm sure all of us would prefer to pretend the PS1 versions never existed in the first place.

Hang on to those Saturns, kids and kitties. Aside from getting a Supergun and some CPS2 boards, its the only way you can play these games legitimately.

I know that there have been stabs to make a Saturn emulator for the Dreamcast, but I highly doubt anything useable has or will come of it. The architectures are just too different.

o ... while we're on the topic, sort of, are backups bad for the saturn as they allegedly are for the dreamcast? (and on that note, i have to say, my dc seems to make a lot more noise when reading backups)
